I didn't see this post in time but cangrats on 8 years together, that is not common an more and anyone who can do it is some one special. May 3th was my 11th year with the same gal.

Good marriages last because they become 1 person. They have a respect for each other and are faithful. Bad marriages are caused by one or both in the union not being committed to the marriage and each other. This can be caused by several things, example, jumping into a marriage before you know what it's like to live with each other. Or just getting married for the sake of getting married.

I never got married, but know people who did, and about half divorced and remarried. When I was younger, I would've married almost any gal, because I was desperate. But as i got older, I realized I was lucky, lucky that I am not married to someone I cannot stand, or one that would betray me, or treat me bad. I'd rather be alone that live like that.

I applaud those that can find the right person, and are committed to the marriage, and are happy together.[^] I don't believe I'll ever find the right person, but that is my destiny. My pets, and LAURA are my companions. [:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]
