Lips don't move when using Crystal voice

I installed the latest version of Crystal (SAPI5) and when my character talks, her lips don't move. Is this because it is SAPI5 and not SAPI4? Anyone know how to make this work? Thanks.

Anybody? This is pretty disheartening. I spent $30 on a voice that I can't even use...

Run the HapSAPISetup.exe file in the Haptek directory and the voices should work fine.

I just tried that. The voice works fine, it comes in loud and clear. But my character's lips still aren't moving.

are you using vista?
if so you will need to manually set the default
to the new voice from microsoft anna.

go to control panel,
click on speech recognition options,
at the top left click "advanced speech options"
in the middle tab change the voice to one you want.

thanks for the tip but I'm using Windows XP. I have set the default to the voice that I want but that hasn't made a difference as far as her lips moving.

If the Crystal you're using is an MS Agent character then it is not SAPI 5 compatible...only SAPI 4.

You will not get lip sync as far as I know.

Does it work with the Haptek characters?

HA! I fixed it! Of course I fixed it by accident hehe. I had to uninstall People Putty and when I did, it uninstalled my Haptek player as well. After reinstalling the Haptek player, my characters' lips now move. w00t!

If anyone runs into the problem of voicing sounding great but Haptek characters' lips not moving at all, try reinstalling the Haptek player. http://www.haptek.com/products/player/autoinstall/
