Assessment: The Q66 core 2 Quad and The A Q Power (pure black with dual fan)power supply work well with features of the MB like performance enhancement,Turbo, extreme, ect...Problem: I am experiencing a 'Throttling' problem with the TCP/IP communications which ends up in a blue screen and shutdown...

Can anybody suggest a computer forum that they trust?

Hi One, try this forum:

You could also try slowing down the RAM by reducing its multiplier; this can help trouble shoot RAM problems, oh and make sure you have the latest BIOS for your mobo.

Blue screens, as you probably know, are normally hardware related but can also be low-level software i.e. the bios not reading some of the hardware correctly.

I work with computers and most of the blue screens I have seen are memory related.

Good Luck.

Datahoppa,
It is a driver problem with handling TCP/IP and like functions (as far as I can tell from glimpsing the mem dump)

I have computer matched 2X2Gb Corsair ram with heat syncs and optional cooling fan. Not overclocked.

I have a Gbit Ethernet on the comp but have a 10/100 hub.

any thoughts?

Thanks for the help.

Some things you can try:

Make sure you have the latest driver in for the onboard Ethernet

Try setting its maximum speed to 100mb or ever 10mb. To test for stability.

Put the latest BIOS in the mobo, especially as the LAN is onboard.
Care must be taken with that.

If I suspected the on board Ethernet I would disable it in the BIOS and try a pci card in there.

I can't think of anything else at the moment, but that forum I linked to is a good one, you don't have to be an overclocker like me [:D] to ask for help and there are a lot of people who really know their stuff on it.
