Volume Glitch

When I open the TTS reader, it turns my 'wave' volume (not the master volume) almost all the way down. There is no good reason for it do this. I have to turn it back up to hear anything; including the reader!
I am running Windows XP.
I can send more system info upon request.

The free TTS engine that is free from this site has always turned the volume down on one side or the other, I do not know how or why but this does occur.

somebody else may have a patch to the bug but I gave up on it because it was so frustrating and did not deserve any more of my time.
