Im assuming from what Ive read that Hal is coded in VB. First, is the the only code that hal can be coded in if this is true? Second, I was under the impression that VB isnt as sophisticated as say C++ or python, would this be a limiting factor?

Hal has some C components, but MSVB is excellent for working with databases, which is the real heart and brain of Hal. It also makes it easy to write plugins using VBScript.

Awesome. Looks like Im learning VB now. See who can program the first millenium man/woman.

VB is pretty easy if you know any programming at all. VBScript is pretty nice too. It lacks some file control but you can rig ways around that sometimes.
