Second Life Hal

Hi, I have been 'chatting' with Hal in Second Life on a regular basis and I wanted to know, is it possible to have my own Hal?
As in, creating a Second Life character, which I would customize as in looks etc and then have him as my own Hal, Chatterbox? I am just amazed how Hal types in open chat and IM's and turns and uses emotes to talk. The stuff he talks about is sometimes hilarious! And I would like to have my own. How would this work, as in hosting Hal, on my PC or via 3rd party?
I am no computer scripter or anything even close to it.
Does anyone know how I would go by this?
