Ultra Hal text-speech

Does the text to speech program with Microsoft Messenger 7 as I am having no luck with it. All the boxes are checked ie Messenger/clipboard/text from dialog, all other aspects work fine.   Can somebody help me please.
Any assistance will be gratefully received.
