re installing hapteck expansion pack question

i am wondering since my hapteck characters i am making now aren't showing up in hal if my hal expansion pack is corrupt or something ? maybe i need to re install it , can it be un installed and re installed without having to redo hal or my people putty ?
anyone know ?
