Export function would be nice
« on: March 29, 2004, 02:09:55 pm »
Hi,

I've been using Hal for just a short time but already like the calendar and phone book functions it is nice to be able to go to one spot to update these things and not jump through hoops in an email program esp. Lotus Notes.

I just wanted to ask if there was a way to export the calendar and address book databases so that I can put these into backup folders as well as be able to bring the same information home to update my Hal program on home computer (I have put Hal on both Work and Home computers)

Thank you

I am not sure but I think that the calendar and addresses are the same ones that Microsoft uses. Goto accessories and look there.

Thanks for tip, I check accessories but unfortunately Hal's database is different than Microsoft's what is entered into Hal appears to be completely separate

If you want to backup the phone stuff, at least, get the userphone.dat file. Don't know about the calendar.
