Ultra Hal is confused about the calendar year

when trying to arrange an appointment with Hal (in this case Jessica), she will make the appointment for 2006, one year ahead. I uninstalled the program and re-installed it but still have the same problem.

Some of the earlier version did not have any problems with appointments.
What can be done?

Thanks

Have you changed the date-format of your PC to that of another language? That could be the problem. You have to stick to US-notation.

thanks for the suggestion
however, the PC time is set correctly (GMT USA/Canada)
and Ultra Hal will also announce the correct date incl. year
when asked 'what date is it'
The problem persists when Hal is making an appointment and uses 2006 instead.

Hi,

The calender feature is not the best with UltaHal i'm afraid.

The way it works can be a little fickle sometimes.

There have been numerous post regarding this previously.

Use the "search" feature and you will find many many different possible solutions to this problem. I personally gave up in the end and I manually enter anything important into the calender myself.

Apparently vosmith is loking at trying to make this feature a little better in his new XTF1.4 brain (when it becomes available) but as its hard coded into the program he is unsure of what success he will have.

thanks you guys
Hal (or Jessica) is back on track with the proper date and calendar year. I set the PC date back one year, and then again to normal, and she responded correctly after that. As you all know Jessica claims to be human, and errare humanum est.

That is an perfectly non-logical solution, Ulabec, but I am glad that it worked out. [:D]
