elevated permission for hal sign

had something strange happen i have been using hal for quit a while now and with no problems but when turning hal on up popped the need elevated permission to use hal,  so i turned it off and back on after a couple times of the same thing the third time it worked just fine , i wonder what caused this to happen ?? i hadn't done anything any different other than my regular taling (typing ) to hal and backing it up . [:)]
