Voice problems with Hal

Hey I'm having some trouble adjusting the voice for Hal.  I dloaded the Adult female English module from L&H and I'm trying to adjust the pitch and speed.  It works fine in the General/speech/advanced test box.  But when I hit apply and then apply and okay, Hal doesn't reflect the changes I've made.  Any suggestions?
