No, it is not normal for the masses as they are most interested in being entertained by the latest sitcom or reality TV show.

The science of AI is most likely a far shot away from them.

However, if a smart AI helper of robot were to be built, those very people might be the first in line to have one!

It's the classic "Little Red Hen" saga. No one wanted to help to make the bread but they all wanted to help eat it!

go figure.

BTW, I do like Hawkins's theories!! ;)
