Question for the main man
« on: October 29, 2003, 09:43:34 pm »
Just how much different is the new 5.0 from the beta that was being released? My beta version has all of the addins created by others.
Thanks
Bill

The beta version will cease functioning on November 1st as its main function was to test Hal to find all major program errors, not for general public use. In the final release there are over 100 fixes throughout the software of various bugs and annonyances.

You can backup your brain UHP file and all your data files if you wish and upgrade to the final release. There were some minor changes to the script itself and the data files in the final release so I would recommend doing the addins again in the final release.

For whatever reason, my "official" version of Hal 5.0 seems to work much more smoothly and realistically than my updated and massaged version of the Beta release ever did.

A very nicely-executed upgrade, Mr. M. I am very pleased with the program. It is well worth upgrading from 4.5.
