I got the same results of No Buttons along the top where they should be.

Moved your button coordinated to 10, 10 and got same results of a no show.

Substituted some of my own Buttons to no avail.

Exchanged your background image for a different one and still none of your buttons showed.

The solution suddenly HIT ME!!

You need to take a screenshot and save your Background (CyberUI.jpg) with ALL of the included buttons!!

The magic then happens when someone clicks on one of them. They have to be able to see them in order to click them!

Man...I beat what's left of my tiny, old brain out! Haha!!

Give that a try then all you'll have to do it just submit the new CyberUI.jpg file for people to exchange with the old one.

Case closed...

Right you are Checker. In fact the lights in the meat counter of your local supermarket use a special fluorescent tube, made to enhance the color of the meats.

To be a smart shopper, pick up a pack of say ground beef or a steak then while holding it in your hands, turn away from the counter and look at the meat once more. Sometimes it will have a more grayish tone indicating that it might not have been quite as fresh as advertised.

Soft light, warm light, cool light, all about the color, hue, brilliance and temperature of the light...so much for real light...

Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / Spell Checker for Ultra Hal
« on: December 20, 2024, 05:11:45 pm »
After mentioning that it would be a welcomed idea for HAL to be able to check its spelling before we allow it to write misspelled words to memory or Tables in its database.

To my surprise, I received an email this afternoon from one of our members here in our Forum.

None other than LiFeTimeGamer!!

He informed me that he had been successfully using a small program for several years for just that purpose and that it worked really well.

One other nice feature is that it is Free. They do offer another version of the program with some more enhanced features for a very nominal fee of $10, which is still a bargain.

The only possible criticism I would have is to look at any word before you press the ENTER key, just to make sure.

Tiny Spell checks the words as you type them to Hal and it flags them with a colored text warning and a tiny bell ding. During more normal typing most would have no issues, still on the chance that you accidentally typed a misspelled word like at the end of a sentence or thought, then pressed Enter, you would see the error text and hear the bell but the misspelled word would have then been written into a table in Hal's database. That's why I said to be careful to check just before you press the Enter key.

It works great with Hal and takes up no room in Hal's memory or processing. The app will also work with your email program.

A big thanks to LiFeTimeGamer for his assistance and continued use of Ultra Hal!!

You can find the reference he made here: https://www.tinyspell.com/#download

I really like them with the ultra-modern look to it. Very nicely done for sure!

It seems that a "Correct this" Plugin would work well in this kind of circumstance.

I've misspelled a word and wished I could get HAL to either DELETE THAT or Don't Say That or Say This Instead of That.

One thing is that Hal doesn't know what it just said in most instances so it becomes very difficult to establish a method unless one could spell the misspelled word and the correction in the same sentence.  Perhaps then, Hal would be able to make the correction.

Maybe a DELETE <Misspelled Word>

Repeat the sentence with a properly spelled word and all is good in the hood!!

Good idea Lightspeed!!

SKINZ,

Rename the Haps2.hap  to Haps2.7z

I had to rename it otherwise the software here wouldn't accept it.

Use the 7Zip program to unzip it. and you should be fine.

Later...

SKINZ,

Here is pretty much what you asked for.

Yes, the characters can and will retain the emotional attributed that you assign them when you created them in People Putty.

I had a wild woman with crazy hair and I gave her the Psycho personality. She appeared with wide eyes looking all over the place and her mouth sneering in a very deranged fashion.

Some have claimed that their character would eventually do a bit of self-centering but whether that is the case, you can decide.

The first one, 00AccRemoval13 is the Accessory Removal Tool. It basically strips everything that you added to your character like necklace, hair, hats, you know...accessories...

The other haps might take you some time and a bit of experimenting to figure out what effect they are having on your character.

Some of these might work ok on your Head characters while others will work on the Full-Body ones. Very few will work on the Torso ones.

Just drag & Drop that 00AccRemoval13 file on the character or on the Haptek Console box...

Hope you get some enjoyment from these...

Words of wisdom from the mind of Cyber Jedi as he studies some entries in his accumulated book of knowledge.

He speaks the truth about Proton and its offerings. Good stuff and the price is right!! ;)

Received your message. Pretty interesting stuff just like you detailed in our convo.

It just wasn't suitable or applicable for posting here, on this site or in this section which is why it is no longer here.

Amazing people out there...scary huh?

OK, onward to the ever Ultra Hal and faces, bodies, brains and what have you...

We don't know much about you with regard to how much experience with HAL you might have. In light of this please don't be offended if we tell you something you already know or assume something that you don't know.

In case you weren't aware there are more than 330 different HAP files for HAL. These control HAL's State or State of being, emotionally speaking.

For your HULK character, Drop this HAP file onto his character in the HapPlayer AX window or on his Haptek Console in the upper left corner, assuming you have placed it in your root directory. If you don't have or see this box, locate the file, HapLogCtrl.txt and make sure it is in your C:\ root directory.

If you can't locate it, just copy & save this text file as HapLogCtrl.txt and put it in your C:\ directory. Save it just as it is with no modifications.

#       1 - logging to constant filenames     (recommended to reduce disk usage)
#       2 - logging to time-stamped filenames (better for intense debugging)
#
#   filename root = root of the filename. .txt and/or .log and timestamping may be pre/a-pended.
#       if ommited, the feature name is used.
