Ultra Hal 7.0 / "Cannot access attachments upload path!"
« on: January 31, 2011, 09:02:04 am »
I've just completed making a .hap using the AutoHapGenerator for a fullbody Haptek character.  I thought it may be useful to other members and wanted to share it with them so I tried to upload it. I moved it to Documents and tried to upload, I zipped it and tried to upload, I checked properties ect and am still unable to upload to Zabaware.  I was given permission to upload it at Datahopa's site and was able to upload the zipped version.
So the hap is made for fullbody Haptek characters, not sure about torsos,  it is a Hello or Goodbye wave.
The original problem remains how do we upload to Zabaware?

Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / gestures for body_female
« on: November 12, 2010, 08:16:41 am »
I've been doing some work with the Haptek body_female (jiggly) and came across some animations or gestures for body_female.   Thay are numbered 1 through 78 and include a default to get the character back to the original position.  Thay work the way thay should but the movement happens at once instead of being a movement for a second or so.  Not sure where the files came from, I found them on an old CD.
Here is a sample of the code used:

#Haptek  Version= 1.00 HapType= command FileType= text

\setname [figure= body_female name= fullBod]
\setname [figure= standard name= fullBod]

\setreg [ figure=fullBod name=HeadSideBend f0=-0.2000 t=2]
\setreg [ figure=fullBod name=HeadForward f0=0.0000 t=2]
\setreg [ figure=fullBod name=HeadTwist f0=0.0000 t=2]

\setreg [ figure=fullBod name=NeckForward f0=0.0000 t=2]
\setreg [ figure=fullBod name=NeckTwist f0=0.0000 t=2]
\setreg [ figure=fullBod name=NeckSideBend f0=0.0000 t=2]

\setreg [ figure=fullBod name=LShoOut f0=-1.1000 t=2]
\setreg [ figure=fullBod name=RShoOut f0=-1.1000 t=2]
\setreg [ figure=fullBod name=LShoForward f0=0.0000 t=2]
\setreg [ figure=fullBod name=RShoForward f0=0.0000 t=2]
\setreg [ figure=fullBod name=RShoTwist f0=0.0000 t=2]
\setreg [ figure=fullBod name=LShoTwist f0=0.0000 t=2]

\setreg [ figure=fullBod name=LClavicalForward f0=0.3000 t=2]
\setreg [ figure=fullBod name=RClavicalForward f0=0.3000 t=2]
\setreg [ figure=fullBod name=LClavicalUp f0=0.0000 t=2]
\setreg [ figure=fullBod name=RClavicalUp f0=0.0000 t=2]

This moves the arms straight out, I've tried changing the time from 2 to 5 and it still happens instantly.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Problem with Hal with Speach Recognition
« on: April 23, 2010, 02:55:56 pm »
I've been having a problem using the Haptek Character body_female (Jiggly) with Hal.  I'd just found the problem is related to using speech reconition.  When speach recognition is checked, the breasts and upper arms make quick short movements, the character has to be moved back to see this.

Just got Hal installed again,  something I was interested in in the past was triggering a hap using Hal's response ie: Hal's Response " I'd like to wear my blue outfit would trigger the BlueOutfit.jpeg to be loaded.  I'd like to try this again, it would seem that placement in the brain should be towards the end of the brain so Hal has chosen the response.
I'd appreciate any thoughts on this.

Speech Technology / Dragon 10.1
« on: January 07, 2010, 05:54:14 pm »
I have just started using Dragon version 10.1 with Windows 7, I have version 10 but I had to download version 10.1 yesterday morning, since the file is over 1 Gb I believe it took over four hours for it to download completely.  I did some training with Dragon this morning and I am now doing this dictation using Dragon.  No mistakes so far, I would also like to mention that I am using a wireless headset which seems to work very well with Dragon.  The signal-to-noise ratio is 24 DB which I am pleased with.

Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / Haptek Fullbody
« on: February 18, 2009, 08:56:57 am »
I'd just got Body_female up and running, I'm able to load the htr with a modified skin and added a little body movement.  I do this with the following text, it can be coppied to notepad and saved as (click All Files) and save as BodyFem.htr  a text file will not work.

#Haptek  Version= 1.00 Name= load htr+texture  HapType= script
##standard
#Haptek  Version= 1.00 HapType= script FileType= text

Clock [t= 0.0] load [file= [C:Program FilesabawareUltra Hal Assistant 6Charactersfullbodygirl.htr]]
Clock [t= 1.0] SetTexture  load [file= [C:Program FilesabawareUltra Hal Assistant 6CharactersskimpyshirtBlue.jpg]]
Clock [t= 1.1] SetSwitch  [ Figure= fullbodygirl Switch= TorsoPieces State= hip]

I've changed the text to fullbodygirl because it seems that character is used more often, it can easily be changed back to Body_female for people using body_female, replace fullbodygirl with body_female.  I'm going to try to upload a jpg, had problems in the past trying to do this. the jpg also is put in the character folder.
Put the text in Hal's character folder and it should show up in the character window and load when choosen.
Note: The body movement works with body_female, with body female the switch may not be found and may not work.  I'll check this out.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Haptek expansion pack
« on: February 15, 2009, 05:45:56 pm »
I have Hal 6.2 in, put in the Haptek expansion pack for 6.2, in Windows XP, it seems to work fine. The problem I"m having is l'm trying to put in Body_Female.htr. I put Body_Female.htr in the characters folder and it appeared under characters in Hal, everything worked again with Body_Female working. The next time and since Body_Female will not show in Hal's characters.
I removed Sandy that works and renamed Body_Female Sandy, in the Hal characters I choose Sandy and the original Sandy appeared. I removed all the other htr's except Hal and Zabba to simplify, all the other characters show under Hal's caracters and work.  The removed characters were placed in another folder called Notused.
Clicking on Body_female will open her in a Happlayer window. I can load her in the Hapregistry. When using Ultra Hal Sandy will load, I can 4 times click to bring up the Haptek window and empty scene, and load body_female.  Also I no longer see the uncompressed files in the Haptek temp folder.
Anyone else running into anything like this?  Thinking of removing 6.2 and putting in 6.1 at this time.

General Discussion / MS agent editor
« on: February 12, 2009, 07:07:01 pm »
I'd read a post about a member looking for an MS agent editor so I thought I"d put the link in for him incase he hasn't found it yet,
  http://www.microsoft.com/msagent/downloads/developer.aspx#ace
Also thanks to the people at AI dreams since that found it.
I'll mention Haptek characters cause a problem with my installation of Hal 6.2 in vista so I tried the MS agent that corrected the problem.

Programming using the Ultra Hal Brain Editor / Created a problem
« on: September 30, 2007, 08:26:06 am »
I think I've created a problem with Hal by talking about people dating.  If I ask what the date is Hal tells me about men ask women to go on dates. How do I fix this?

Share Conversations, Experiences, Graphics / Haptek
« on: July 05, 2007, 07:57:15 pm »
I'd talked about using the uncompressed files included in the htr's to make modifications, I was especially interested in changes made to the effect of gravity on the breasts so I've included some pictures.
I've also found I can load a small amount of body movement to a fullbody figure by using the Hapexplorer available from AI Dreams.
Since the movement would have to be recorded I'll post it in the near future and possibly someone can record it or you can just try it.

Share Conversations, Experiences, Graphics / Another Haptek Startup
« on: June 13, 2007, 05:38:43 pm »
Earlier I had made a post about creating a .htr to create a modified startup that I've been using for quite a while. The original problem was to load a modified jpg instead of the one provided without seeing the original jpg that is supplied. The htr cannot be modified without corrupting it.
I'd just started up body_female, went to the Haptek directory and copied the uncompressed hap files and pasted them in another folder. The body_femaleDef.hap can be opened in wordpad, if you modify the texture files (lines 5 and 6) by removing the original jpg and putting in the name of yours  the htr loads your skin.
The process to load the figure in the Haptek player was to double click the body_femalestartup.hap, The name could be changed to a htr or you could create a htr which loads the startup hap.
This seems to offer other possibilities such as being able to change the startup hair, lighting ect. It would be interesting to see if you can take characteristics from other figures and put them into your favorite, ex: I like body female but I'm using fullbodygirl because she has more movements that work. I'd like to find the wink in a def file and copy it into another def.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Haptek start up
« on: June 03, 2007, 03:20:03 pm »
As I had said previously I had put together some files to change the startup method for Haptek characters.  The files can be used alone
or with the vrHaptek plugin.  It has been used with both version 5 and version 6 of Hal.
