Honvai,

For better illustration, you can use an editor that displays line numbers like Crimson Editor or Notepad ++
I use them both for basic text editing and Notepad offers many additional features. Both are FREE.

General Discussion / Re: Old School hal plugins

This Anger Management Plugin does work but it suffers from an inability to STOP Reading after a sentence or two.

Instead, it produced an entire page of sentences and talking points from which it started and would not stop.

I finally had to shut HAL Down!

While this plugin does work, the RSS produced is simply too much and too lengthy for the average user to tolerate.

Not your fault Cyber, just the way the feed is handled.

When you run the SETUP.EXE file for Balabolka, it installs into its selected directory.

If you Run the Balabolka.exe file, you'll be able to select from the Options menu, one of a various number of installed voices on your system.

Once you made a selection, you can type a sentence then press the green arrow at the top of the menu and the program will speak the sentence.

When you quit the program, it will use the voice you used/selected when it later reads or sings a song (hopefully).
.
I think that eddie was from one of the L&H TTS voices last used or perhaps as a sample voice to demonstrate the Balabolka program.

Maybe you could substitute your favorite TTS voice in its place and try that.

Hope this helps...

Good find LTG!

Lonnie, and others, just be sure to change all references of C:\Program Files\Zabaware\Ultra Hal Assistant 6\songs\" & SongSung & ".txt
to C:\Program Files\Zabaware\Ultra Hal 7\songs\" & SongSung & ".txt

With UH7, I'm not completely certain whether Balabolka is even required but your experiments will determine that.

It looks like something that was done in People Putty maybe an OGG conversion or something like that.

It has been far too long for me to recall. Time does that...

Hi Will & Mr. Data!

It's nice to see you visit here once more. Hope you're doing well.

There are lots of ideas in the works for HAL as I am led to believe.  Time will tell how that turns out.

Yes, the AI industry (much like computers of the early 1980s) seems to be spread all around various camps, each having their own ideas on this or that but perhaps toward the same end. Controlling a certain device without human intervention.

Cars, housework, mining, all sorts of workers. I guess people could stay at home and supervise their bots or just stay at home and get paid this Universal Basic Income idea that is being tossed about. If humans lose their desire to work then will soon lose their ability to work and that, my friend, will be the downfall of us all!!

Be well...

I think that was actually from Neige or Duskrider but I haven't seen them around these parts in years.

Sorry for your inconvenience. I have forwarded your issue to Mr. Medeksza who should be able to address your concerns.

I don't recall receiving any correspondence from you in the previous 6 months but hopefully, your issue will be resolved.

Best,

Lonnie (and others),

Windows 10 did not and does not come with Microsoft WORD. IT is available as an online purchase or as a Subscription-based purchase.

While they claim that Windows 10 comes with Wordpad, it is NOT the same and does not function the same as Word.

Therefore, look through any Plugins that make references to or calls/commands to any MS Office Programs like Word, Excel, Database, etc. because they will, in most cases, cause an error similar to the one shown here in your example, if you do not own said program.

Unless you're willing to go through some code to make changes to the Plugin and spend some time digging through a different program, know that you are going to have to test and debug and retest it again, hoping that you finally get it to work without an error.

Otherwise, it might be just best to not use that plugin or find a more suitable substitute.

Thanks for sharing your frustration with the rest of us Lonnie!
Sorry, I can't be of more help.

Interesting but how are you getting along with your UltraHal?

Anything new to report regarding Hal its learning or brain development?

Nice but somehow I felt as if that was a telepresence robot, that is, operated by someone in another area, maybe behind the curtain, so-to-speak.
I doubt that it was autonomous! It did provide some comic relief with the coffee!  Good one!

Of course, you all picked up on Kuki's sweatshirt Binary code...

It spells KUKIAI (Kuki AI).

Cute!
.
You can easily convert it for yourselves here:
