Is their ever a need to post up 'system properties' when asking questions? As fot this system , I have workstations all connected together in at least one way, However I did find a reference that things like the ASPX.NET account gets confused when their are too many config files in the VB program. YES this is abstract but I have had some problems with my computers and especially with the Machine account. I would like this system build to be more clear to friendlies' but not announce/Divulge everything to G00GLE.
How do you say what you need to say without saying IT? '?'<- Question mark, again
P.S. LS, I have a Gateway machine connected with the School info so now don't get confused with my earlier 'Bashing' of E Machines (Gateway computers in disguise)

Funnily enough I am doing Networks at the moment in my course.  Picture 3 is a Star Network I think.  I'm just starting switches but is the last picture also a Star Network ?  I read switches are better than most things these days and hubs are half duplex and you have to deal with collision domains ?   Did I get anything right ?

Hubs should be passive,
Routing is handled at host w/addressing
Modem is a default gateway

If you have a chance to come by the CCNA and the 'simulator' disk, it is worth it'weight as a reference
and guide for switches (I don't like configuring switches)

It might be a bit in depth for what I am doing, but I will keep it in mind thanks One. 

Networking has actually been the hardest part of the course for me, I'm more at home with programming and things like that, but it's gradually sinking in.
