Have you tried an answer like: "My afternoon is fine!"?

Then try to talk about differernt subjects. Try to avoid
using a direct answer to Hal's questions but instead feed
Hal's question back in the form of your answer.

BAD example:
Hal: Do you like horses?
User: Yes, I like them very much.

Better example:
Hal: Do you like horses?
User: Yes, I like horses very much.

This will help Hal follow the conversational flow somewhat better.

Experiment...
In the world of AI it's the thought that counts!

Hi Derek.
Are you using an Auto-Idle Versioned or are you getting that statement from two way conversation and which version of brain are you using?

Hi Derek.

You can transfer knowledge but you my have to do it manually.

Remember that some of the full addition files are larger files so simply copying and pasting wont work without losing the larger files.

If you know what files your bot made that contains info from you then open that file and manually transfer the lines by hand to the same type full addition file.

I'll have to see if I can make a VBScript file to file merger that can pull in-different strings to other files and leaving out identical strings but still keeping file formatting correct.

I have already made some versions of these type file mergers and will see what I can do for you.

Best of wishes and brand new discoveries.
Jerry.

Look into the User .brn files and User name files that you was using when speaking with your bot.

All Username files can be directly transfered without fear of losing data unless those files are different in size and learned info.

You can also transfer screen name files as well.

As far as any other additional info on what you taught your bot will have to be found by browsing the defbrain folder for any learned info.

Remember it is critical to keep the same file formats and always remember to put your curser at the very end string of any file when saving any placed info, This prevents double appending or might keep the file from having an appending arguement.

Best of wishes and brand new discoveries.
Jerry.
