hal singing program

would be cool in a future hal version if somehow hal could be made to not only say answers as he does now but to actually be able to sing them out like the happy birthday song , sing it instead of just wording it . if its not possible to do this then a prerecorded version of a wave file as mentioned before would be best where at certain points in conversation the "ha ha haa , hee hee hee ,tee hee hee , etc. would send a signal which would pick a random pre recorded wave laugh file and play it then go on with the rest of the conversation . same with if a hal user used the words today is my birthday or are you going to send me a birthday song it (using the words ) would signal hal to use a pre recorded "male or female " happy birthday song !! after wards hal would resume back in normal conversation . if this type of a program could be developed it would be a huge leap for hal in more realism . I programmed Hal 5.0 to sing in the old XTF brain. Maybe you can still find a copy someplace.

I really don't know Lighspeed as I have not done any brain surgery for a number of years now. I have to many other projects going on at the present time. Maybe in the future I will start over again.
OCT may be able to help you, just ask.
