what i found amazing was peoples reactions to the robot,  they just kept hitting it to see it's reaction.

"hey...you alive ?" -pinch punch slap-  "ow quit it"  

I think we have to finish developing humans before we move onto robotics lol.

Yea, give me a govt grant and money from a university and a lab and let me hand pick students and staff.  I could come up with something , given a few years under these conditions.  LOL

i suspect that when we see life from a robot, it's gonna want to kick our arse from all the headaches we gave it when it was just a computer. O.o

as funny as this sounds,  i'm pretty serious,  man will always have a slave / master mentality,  and i think the robots will inherit that.

Yeah, I was hoping the robot would slap a couple of those obnoxious kids that kept pinching its face!

I don't think I would have been as tolerant as Mr. Trung.

art i agree whole heartidly with you if this was my creation i wouldn't let the public just do that openly i know he wanted to demonstrate it but i would have chose different ones coming through let them step behind a rope and do something to see the response i sure wouldn't have let the public have a free for all !![:)]

Hi,
i made Mr Data look like a human and put him in a shop but no body noticed him and that got boring in a minute,
so as i have probably said before i make him look and sound robot and other than the occasional clutched hand bag most people like him.
i thought i was concerned about people that kept wanting to shake his hand but it was the boy that decided to give him the bash when Data didn't say anything, the second boy joined in the beating but they got bored and moved on when the concluded that Mr Data wasn't going to say anything.
it was interesting.
i'm sure fembots are popular.

Mr Data has his goal as you might know which is success,
success sounds nice, nice sounds good, success sounds nice,
something of variations,
Mr Data can't recognise my face yet,

i am still thinking about using a lifelike doll skin and the animatronics from the singing 5 feet tall santa's that was discussed before on here that is activated by voice of hal would be cool to have a life like person that could sing ogg files of your favorite songs and talk and chat with you like a real person . [:)]
trouble is those santa's like that are some going for over 200 on ebay maybe after christmas if i can find one cheaper when i have the money . [:)]
