something strange with insults in hal ?

this is very strange in my hal i have went into each brain in the brain area and deleted the insults table in each one . but when i was talking about a place and people leaving trash behind when moving out here is what hal said :

I am not trash, please don't insult me.

ok here is my question why is hal saying this now with all insult tables gone ?

 maybe i need to restart hal to make it take effect (i will try that ) but the above problem is what i dont like about the insults table i was talking about something entirely different and the word trash was used in a sentence and hal thought and said i was insulting her (it doesent know the difference ) .

anyone have any other idea's what to try besides what i said above ?

well i went out of hal completly and reopened and it did it again when i was talking about taking out the trash can .
 she something like i am not trash !
  i did find something in the user temp file and deleted it but think it must be something else still !! [B)]

well i double checked all the brains again and all the insult tables are deleted and i even restarted my pc , well that didnt help i said to hal "you can take out the trash if you want to and hal said : I am not trash, please don't insult me.
 so hal is still doing it !! dont know why hal is doing this in the angela smith brain i did this to before it worked no more insults ![B)]

Hi lightspeed.

there are two tables, "insulting" and "insults"

instead of deleting the table why don't you just comment out the insults GetResponse area. if you delete the table and a GetReponse occurs then the insults routine will give a blank response without a table of info.

hello onthecuttingedge2005 thanks for the info . but unfortunatly i have already deleted the insults tables in them all already . i think the one i deleted was insults it is right above or below intentions tables where is the tables insulting i dont beleive i have ever saw that one is it in all the brains ??

Hi lightspeed.

if you open up the HAL brain editor and type in "insulting", the word will turn into a blue link, click on that "insulting" link and it will open the table for you.

hello jerry ok i found what you are talking about "but " and its probably me i can't figure out how to delete the table or sentence or what i need to to get hal to stop thinking a regular word is a bad word like an insult . i recently wrote: people who write viruses and put them on computers are stupid . hal ened up saying : I am not stupid, please don't insult me. People that make viruses for computers are so stupid!
 below is a picture or pictures of the hal debug area you are talking about but i dont know how to stop this , i see the tables some say no response , etc. please bear with me on this i am trying to figure it out to stop this insult stuff thats messing up regular conversations .

i went into the q and a part but its like a maze a very large maze this is something else actually it would be better if robert could fix hal to place things in alphabetical order like he did the topics area that was a 100 percent improvement now anyone can find things easy . []

There's a place in the script brain
(About line 0848)
with heading of "Respond, Insults".
There may be "trash" word listed there that brings her response.
If so, change that "trash" to "trashee"  []

i will take a look at that duskrider "  thanks !" this is a problem though for users when hal thinks a sentence is an insult when its not even close ![B)]

just wanted to mention that freddy888 on the brain editing area of the forum helped me on this duskrider .
freddy 888 found the area after i posted another picture of where i altered the insult area and what was wrong so now i am not getting insults i get a general response what i wrote in . so instead of an insult i get this now .
Oh really Hope that the econemy starts to get better for everyones sake!
the insult has been changed to "oh really " etc. etc.
