welcome aboard sdrcow, Best tip I can give is to Enjoy your Hal [:D] Second tip: Read some older threads here also when you have some free time, they may answer a lot of future question, and help give you a understanding of your Hal. The people here are very helpful and friendly, so feel free to ask any questions.
