Yes, I recall all those discussions regarding SSD drives vs standard hard drives and well...the plain facts speak for themselves.
ROOM is ROOM...STORAGE is STORAGE and the more the better. So I'll gladly take my $90.00 1 Terrabyte drive compared to a
120 GIG Seagate SSD for $96.00!! Hmmm...8.3333 times as much storage for the same money!! ?? OK...I'll get the Terrabyte
drive!!! Hitachi offers 1.2 Million Hours of MTBF and Western Digital VelociRaptor offering 1.4 Million Hours for MTBF!! Those are
pretty impressive results. So, if you want "cost effective" storage and lots of it go with the standard 1 TB drives and have a
good time becoming a "file hoarder". If you're looking for all the speed you can muster for playing games and such then you
might wish to direct your attention to the SSD aisle of your favorite store!!
* MTBF = Mean Time Between Failure of an X number of Y drives. For the record an average year (no leap) is 8,760 hours so
even if you do the math, it means that the company has placed a relatively GOOD recommendation with regard to the life that
one can expect to get from said drive. Keep in mind that your mileage might vary. Some car owners can get a lemon within the
first few miles and perhaps similar odds can affect hard drives as well (yes even those SSD's, so don't act too smug!)

There ya have it.
