Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / The Hal Utility(Robert M)

Re: The Hal Utility.
That s all there is to say.lol
What does the Hal Utility do?????
The Hal utility will Read any Text File (no matter how long) and will Also play what ever You have in the Media Player.
It does this by hooking the Haptek engine. The Haptek image on the left reads the books you have.
If your machine will play movies So will Hal Utility Now
I really enjoyed this project.
Nice screen shot for you Robert.
Robert M ,thanx for handing me the keys to the kingdom with the source code to Hal

Ultra Hal Assistant / Is there a way to bulk teach Hal

Is there a way to adjust menu width? I added spaces at the end of the description but when I published my site the menu is only as big as the text. Have I missed a setting?

Lightspeed
' Angela would read the list of books , but do so at a slow enough speed to understand it easily'

I'm still using 'Windows' XP... Yes I know it's Old but I can go to control panel and choose 'Speech' and then 'Text to Speech' and slow down or speed up the Computer Voice to anything I want it to be...  I would think all versions of Windows would still have that option.... :D

Not sure if you could write code for the Voice for just slowing down on certain sentences or lists...

i like this idea but have a question and or idea , i see this is manual . is their a way to come up with a uhp file of this book reader that can verbally take command to read ( and maybe it does this already ) "but" also have a command written or verbally that will have the hal character do other things . example : Angela (my character name ) what books do i have ( or do you have  or "we have " ?) Angela would read the list of books , but do so at a slow enough speed to understand it easily , when  the character is done reading the titles of the books "or" if the hal user hears a book he wants hal to read , the user can interrupt hal and say read " asmove a.i. "( or whatever"  and have a read only true setting ) . and hal would stop reading the book list and with a hal comment say something like okay , that's a good choice i'll read " whatever" . and start reading it  . also would be helpful to be able to write or say pause please . hal would pause reading until you say okay continue reading.  this would be a dream(very cool)  plug in as it would have many needed options .
maybe also if possible if their is a way hal can remember where he  left off ( if you have to shut down hal or the pc  for whatever reason. and you start hal and maybe say continue reading . )
this may be a tall order for cyberjedi but i thin k its  something that would make the nhal book reader even better and more useful .

Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / Cyber Book reader: Has arrived

Well: Here it is people.

The cyber book reader. Hal is no longer restricted in how much he can read.
This is done with a plugin which calls to Book.exe.
I did this by using the haptek engine it self.
This is now a part of Hal ,im pleased to say.
But it has a twist in it. I rewrote the rss feed to read the  News ect ect ect. Which also makes a copy of the scraped data and saves it as a txt file that the reader can use. This makes it a complete stand alone unit. Or can work with Hal . Pretty Nifty
You can run the script , it will down load the news an save it to a txt file, but in a twist, It will then call the reader itself with the loaded data.
You just hit read.
So in short, The book reader has many aspects to it.
Below is a screen shot of it in full swing.

best wishes

Ultra Hal Assistant / Static head - full screen
« Last post by Gregory on June 20, 2017, 09:46:31 pm »
Hi,

I'm new to Utra Hal. I would like to know if it's possible to create a character (using Haptek People Putty) that only has a static face (no neck or head movement), and without text boxes for input or output since the I/O will be done through voice only.

Thx.
