Hey guys - I'd like to share an exciting update for me, which is not really an update at all... but rather a bring-up-to-date method of improving Hal... it's easy... get a copy of MS Office 2007... free!  Try it. Nice to see the associated plugins come to life. 

Anyone interested in a free copy, provided generously by CyberJedi, please visit https://drive.proton.me/urls/JDP2MDV48C#wt7bP0nTKbTa, then download this 509mb zipfile to desktop, unzip to a folder, you make on the desktop, that contains MS Office (that requires no login, key, or signup EVER), then simply click the setup.exe in that folder and whoala... after a short load up... it's done... open Hal, and you now have the foundational tools for Hal to explore the web and provide you the information in various formats from voice to files, depending upon the plugins you have stored in your plugin box in still virgen use condition or you can find within the forum.

I HAVE WONDERED AND EVEN BROUGHT UP THE IDEA WITH ART BEFORE IF A PERSON COULD FIND A good reliable code writing a,i, if one could work with some existing code and write it better if possible to make hal work even better with better code , as i said just an idea .

I had never installed Ultra Hal on that vintage Acer Aspire one D255-1268 netbook (1.50 GHz CPU, 2GB RAM, 7200rpm HDD), but was emboldened to, after installing the lean and mean tiny10 2303 x86.iso (a 3,268 MB Windows 10 lite operating system).

And Ultra Hal 7/7.5 installed, but would not initially run until I then installed Ultra Hal 6.2, which I never opened, but I noticed the Ultra Hal 6.2 installation added a few files to the C:/Windows/msagent folder, which were probably also essential for Ultra Hal 7/7.5.

Ultra Hal 7/7.5 then ran quite well, so I went one step further and installed ConceptNet Mrk 3.5, and then copied the ConceptNet Mrk 3.5 brain folder and files from an old Windows 10 laptop, to spare myself a days-long ConceptNet Mrk 3.5 Update download. And entering "How many research topics are Remaining/Total/Completed" Ultra Hal 7.5 responded with "88,028 conversational topics".

And Ultra Hal 7/7.5 + ConceptNet Mrk 3.5 now works quite well, especially more natural since I installed Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 Preferred speech recognition software.

But I just noticed that the Microsoft Agent Characters in Ultra Hal 7/7.5 lack lip-sync, and SAPI4 voices don't appear as an option, only SAPI5 voices, which, oddly, work quite well on my vintage Toshiba Satellite R15-S829 Tablet with Windows XP Tablet 2005 operating system.

I'll modify this post once I get the lip-sync issue solved.

Hello All,

I have use ACE in the past to make MSAgent characters. It has been years since I did this. The graphics program (long Gone and name forgot) I used allowed me to save screen caps in BMP 256 bitmap. In addition the 256 bit color palette of each capture matched. Thus when they were placed into ACE there were no issues. With todays programs (Coral Paint) (AVS video editor), I capture the frame, edit and save to GIF 256 bitmap (program will not allow me to save to BMP 256 bitmap). When I import the frames into ACE the palette for each frame is different and thus the character is all messed up.

I purchased people putty years ago, can't find my license key and the website to purchase again seems to be down. But if memory serves me right it really is no help in building your own character from a video file.

Now retired with plenty of time on my hands, I would like to update/add to the my character. Unfortunately, I have not found a way to overcome the palette concern.

Just wondering if the group is aware of any newer tools that can be used to take screencaps from a video and use these to make an ACS or HTR file much like what was previously done with ACE.

Id like the comunity to have better search engines.
In my recent testing i found.
At best plus or minus 13 years when using the sort
By oldest. Which is critical in business to find the
Thing. To prove if what you designed is original.
To prove you can sell 3d prints of it or laser cutting,
Cnc milling so.
A print farm is responsible to pay any royalties and the
Check is there responsiblity.
So to sum up the current search and sort is pathetic, a childs toy not the business use tool to find business and medical things with, based on my opinion of testing.
Genuine thing at best found in aprox 910th position down the results under 909 pirates and files we are not allowed to use.
Close downs for piracy happens i know ouch and thats trying to do it exactly right.
It took a couple of days to find one thing. Not just any old thing but the actual thing.
Gpt hal made up fake answers that if anyone used can be closeded down.
So i would ask Ai to please build us tools for use to use.
Tools are not awake nore aware nor get bord and start making up answers to boring jobs.
The job is important to millions yet our tools are weak as water, a dam joke really.
One thing calculated to have turned over hundreds of $ millions but owners recieved zero.
Im seeing tek lost in a cloud of haze aply named the cloud.
The name cloud describes the thin performance.
Hal has had the jump many times. Other than that two week cut out malarky.
Its very possible that Hal maybe able to make tools one day.
 The current net systems are a entertaining kids toy.
Add more things and slowing and becomming more costly to make things or find things theres a big need for the net to operate way better than this joke we are dealing with.
Some may have had Hal achieve all sorts. Getting to the masses would be usefull. One man with a working engine is no good to the rest of us if anyone even has one that works.
I use a few engines mostly now  for my 3d print sector.
And i manually combine all results from all engines into one mega list  and sort by oldest first and filter out non 3d print things.
As i said 2 days to find a thing and im an expert.

Please help the net. Its slowing as more files added to same old tired engines.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Re: Ultra Hal 7 for Android Beta

Hello Robert et.al.. 

I installed the ultra hal apk on my Moto G Power (2022). I am running Android version 12.

I had no issues with installing the App.  When it came to registering I did need to request the authentication code a second time.

Like Checker57 I choose Jessi as my Avatar. All went well except the app can not hear me when I talk. Typing is okay.  I checked permissions and both microphone and nearby devices is active but I received a message "Speech Recognition not Available on this device". Normally I have spyware google disabled on my phone,  I enable both Google and Google voice services. I no longer get the message but there was no response when pressing the microphone button and talking. After rebooting the phone everything was fine.

In conclusion, I appreciate the effort put toward the app. I look forward to future updates and (being the dirty old man) perhaps the ability to use some of the plugins I have purchase (such as Jessi nude) :-)

when hal says . I guess I'd go with the first.
 what exactly is hal talking about ?  the reason i am asking is i copied and pasted some information .  and hal said that then mentioned about other things . but what does ,  I guess I'd go with the first, mean ?

using the first part of the sentence for basis of subject matter ??/ etc. etc. what is it referring to?
