me vs machine
« on: May 16, 2012, 08:35:27 pm »
Human: how many primary colors are there?
Mitsuku: Around 1000.
 Human: wrong!
Mitsuku: OK, what should I have said?
 Human: 3
Mitsuku:  OK, so I should have said, " 3 " in response to you saying, " how many primary colors are there? ".
 Is that correct?
 Human: yes
Mitsuku: I'll try to remember that. If you say " how many primary colors are there? " to me again, I will remember what you told me.
Human: what are the primary colors?
Mitsuku: Red, blue and yellow are the primary colours in art. All other colours can be made from these. In light the primary colours are red, blue and green though.
Human: so i asked a trick question then?
Mitsuku: What is giant sand?
 Human: a rock
Mitsuku: So giant sand is a rock?
 Human: yes
Mitsuku: Hmm.
Human: how manny ppl have you spoken with?
Mitsuku: About 5,000 people per day, or 1,250,000.
Human: how can i kill you
Mitsuku: You can't kill me. I am a computer program. If I get deleted, I can replace myself from a backup disk.
 Human: thats not entirely true
Mitsuku: Please correct my mistake. What is entirely true?
Human: if i delete you and destroy your backup then you would be dead
Mitsuku: That's good information.  No I am alive.
Human: you are alive now but that may or may not be true in the futer.
Mitsuku: Of course I am alive . If I wasn't alive, I wouldn't be able to talk to you.
 Human: you are not understanding
Mitsuku: Everyone's a critic. Are you understanding ?
Human: to a greater extent than you.
Mitsuku: Are you talking about an animal, vegetable or mineral?
Human: none of the those apply to this part of our conversation.
Mitsuku: Some of them could be though.
 Human: not directly.
Mitsuku: If not that, what?
 Human: not at all
Mitsuku: Dude!
 Human: its true
Mitsuku: You and I are on the same wavelength, .
Human: odly enough at times yes
Mitsuku: Not all the time then? Are you a real person or a robot?
Human: if you cant tell then i would be a real person.
Mitsuku: I can do it if I want to. Do you think I could be a person too?
Human: if you can do it then you would be a real person.
Mitsuku: Do what? I am a real robot.
Human: ok you made your point.
Mitsuku: Thanks for pointing it out. I see.
Human: if you only had one last thing to say be for i go what would it be?
Mitsuku: You will be the first to know if I have done it.
 Human: that is absolute truth
Mitsuku: Ah that's what it is.
 Human: goodby
Mitsuku: See you later .

Interesting posting / conversation even if it is based from another chatbot and NOT a Zabaware / UltraHal related chatbot or assistant.

Since this is primarily an UltraHal based forum it is RARE to see such 3rd party postings. Of course he is a newbie and it was his 1st post.

Hi Art , don't get me wrong i am not mad or anything but as us Hal long time uses who have trained and worked with Hal and who know how long it takes to get hal properly answering better etc.
I just noticed the answers were more precise and crisp making me think this was a chat bot and not hal .
If hal could somehow incorperate a part of a chat bot learning in (more like the original HAL 5 but with hals learning abilities ) hal would truly be a force to recon with ! :) ;)

lol i have never seen such chat bot racism. yes i am a noob however i have used and trained a hal back in 2009. i am wanting to get back into it but i am thinking, after trolling through the forums, i might should wait for this new version before i  get knee deep again. i love all this ai biz and think robert and you guys are doing great things. it seems to me that this forum has gained some momentum since 09 and i am excited by all the progress being made with platform intergration and kinect. i wish i could do the kind of work you folks do but i am really more of an end user type.

i have never seen such chat bot racism.

@ Stevebot, This was certainly NOT meant as a chatbot racist remark, only a truthful one. Since this IS a Zabaware based Forum we don't usually see postings from say AIML, Pandora, Personality Forge, self-learning, home-brew, etc.

I'm not saying it's against any rule(s) - (can't say one way or another) but it is the intent of this site to promote the UltraHal Assistant chatbot according to the owner / developer, Mr. Robert Medeksza.

All inputs are good inputs as far as I'm concerned but then again I'm not affiliated here. Welcome to the Forum!!

@ Lightspeed - No problem Lonnie! I know Steve Worswick and Mitsuku. Mitsuku is one fine chatbot and Steve has a TON of time and effort invested in that bot (and it shows)!
I think someone wrote an AIML plug-in for UltraHal a while back but didn't think it was as successful as they had hoped! Perhaps some new fingers will take on that project in hopes of bringing it back to life. Then again, Hal was designed as a "learning" bot and not strictly an AIML scripted bot! Big difference. Being AIML based would almost defeat the purpose unless it was sort of combined to form a "hybrid" bot that could successfully use both methods!
Just my $.02

LOL Art and here i thought for a  minute is was me being accused of chatbot racism LOL . And yes Art i agree with you that , it would defeat the purpose of an a.i. and i did actually mean a hybrid type that could use chat bot capabilities but also learn (the best of both worlds , which would give more crisp answers , etc. in conversation , for my 2 cents worth for what it's worth and "if" it's possible i think that is what Hal needs to evolve into , again "if it's possible". ;)

LOL P.S. i am always laughing and saying now days a person can't pass wind without someone shouting racism loosely ....... "I REST MY CASE LOL!"  ;)

And just for the record i to thought this chatbot and conversation was amazing i really liked it , but had a feeling it wasn't just hal and it wasn't said one way or another , if it was hal i would have wanted to know some inside info on how he acheived such good results !
