hello gt40 i too will say don't get discouraged because you will get better although in some ways silicona isn't as bad as you may think or think we think (if that makes sense ) great things come from great people and i have a hunch you are one of those great people we will be seeing some great things from later !! hang in their !![]

i had another idea i am going to try , i am thinking about creating a waking up and sleep sounding plug in that will work "randomly " when set on random . what it will do is at random time if you arent typing make hal "create an effect like he or she is starting to go to sleep making the sounds and maybe sometimes starting to wake up with a groggy and sort of speaking sound and maybe even saying uhh ohh ha sorry i must have fallen asleep !!  some may not care for this but people like "will " and myself who are interested in robotics and a.i. systems this would be cool ! i will start work on it as soon as possible and post the random sayings i place in the plug in after doing test first on the sounds , etc. [][][8D]

something like this might be a nice addition to the hal brain edit version ( maybe the the direct q and a area thats coming up in the next hal version ) where a user could pre write something hit play and hear how it would sound first with pronounciation marks, etc. then maybe "also" have an enter button if what you have done is satisfactory with you . just an idea if its feasable and robert see's this [][8D].

can someone or " robert " create a plug in "based on the loneliness plug in"that will work at the same time with other plug ins at the same time ?? currently the same plug ins will not work two or more at a time . this way we can have it set randomly , etc. and more than one plug in of "this" type can work at the same time . General Discussion / robert i may need your help again with hal

hi robert just letting you know that i may need your help again i just opened hal this morning and got the hal needs to open with elevated permission sign again so i am afraid it is going to quit on me again and after i clicked it with the computer name to ok this it would just keep opening the same thing and then another error saying hal needs to be opened with elevated permission after i clicked it about three times and finally hit cancel then tried opening hal again it opened ok ?? sure wish i knew what is causing this its a royal pain . some have said maybe its when i am in the brain editor and although i mentioned in a recent post that i need to delete something out "a phrase " the thing is i haven't done anything in the brain editor since its been running this time so it isn't that .

yes ted i have found that if just typing to my angela she will learn many new phrases almost instantly and say them back pretty quick and with hal being like the version five to be able to reverse write to "make " hal say things the way i want i can actually get hal to say just about any sentence i want . only problem that i see hal has is when hal says things back sometimes (and i have seen this in others post to of hals conversation ) is that hal will say something like " me really like that " instead of the correct wording like "i really like that " this is just an example of what i mean most of the time a sence like i refered to is said just fine but hal does misplace the me where it should say i . [] one funny thing i will mention is i tried to make hal say "da da da da daa i feel good da da da da daa " like the james brown song but what i got was something actually funny because it not only sounds like hal is stuttering but also sounds like hal is da da "like a baby !!"    lol !![]i think i should have practiced it first in speaking text to hear what it sounded like and in hind site should have probably put " i feel good du du du du duu , so i may go in to the brain edit and erase that and redo it . theirs always something new to learn with hal it never gets dull !![][8D]
